The historic residence for apprentices still looks the same as when it was built in 1882 – apart from the hotel sign above the door. This proud building is nestled at the end of a small cobblestone nook, just off the road that runs around Copenhagen’s historic lakes.

We’re located in the middle of what we think is the city’s best neighborhood: the Nansensgade Quarter. It’s the place Copenhageners would move if they had the opportunity, where they jog around the historic lakes, and where they buy the finest Danish foods and international specialties at the Torvehallerne Market, right around the corner from Nørreport, the city’s busiest train and bus station. It’s a neighborhood that looks like a metropolis and feels like a village.

Inside these historic walls, the staff is friendly and welcoming, and the rooms are unique in their layout and decor. The vibe is modern, even though there is fire in the fireplace, herringbone parquet floors, ornamentation on the walls, pillows in the windowsills – and, as you would expect given our name, a suit of armor or two.
