Termer

  • Galley The integral part of the aircraft where pantry/catering material is stored.
  • Gap That part of an itinerary (except the distance between two airports serving the same city) involving transportation by means other than by a scheduled service.
  • Gateway First point of arrival/last point of departure in a country/area.
  • Gender The gender of an individual party. The state of being male or female (typically used with reference to social and cultural differences rather than biological ones).
  • Geopolitical Location The location which is defined based on politics. For example Country, State, City.
  • Geopolitical Region A collection of countries and/or economies united by a common characteristic, such as political union.
  • Geospatial Location A location with geographic or spatial coordinates, on the surface of the earth or in the air. For example Longitude and Latitude.
  • GIT Group Inclusive Tour Fares?
  • Giveaway Anything given gratuitously by a carrier, whether or not paid for by the carrier, to a passenger, other than whether or not paid for by the carrier, to a passenger, other than air carriage from airport of departure to airport of destination.
  • Given Name A personal name given to someone at birth and used before a family name. Also called first name. E.g. JOHN.
  • Global Indicator The global routing applicable to the fare as shown in Resolution 011b.
  • Go-Show (see “Standby“)
  • Good Merchandise or possession.
  • Group When used in the Interline Reservations context, ten or more passengers, excluding infants, travelling together or where provisions of Reso 766, section14.2 apply.
  • Group Organiser Any person (including a Tariff Conference Member or IATA Sales Agent) who organises and promotes prepaid pre-arranged group travel.
  • Guardian A legal guardian or a person acting in lieu of parents in the event of death or legal incapacity of parents.
