- Tariffs The published fares, rates, charges and/or related conditions of carriage of a carrier.
- TAT (see “Transitional Automated Ticket“)
- Tax A compulsory contribution to state revenue, levied by the government on workers’ income and business profits or added to the cost of some goods, services, and transactions.
- Tax Exemption Waiver of an obligation to pay taxes on a specified value.
- Taxi Fuel Burn Order Tank order for taxi fuel burn.
- Taxi Fuel Procedure Tank sequence for fuel burn and fuel quantity used during the taxiing of an aircraft depending on certain conditions (Standard, Training Flights, etc ...).
- TC Member A Member of IATA who has elected to participate in Tariff Coordinating Conferences. For application between countries in the ECAA, this term shall include carriers participating under Addendum No. 3 to the Provisions for the Conduct of the IATA Traffic Conferences
- TC Voting Member A TC Member who has elected to vote in a given Conference area.
- Technical Landing A landing for non-traffic purposes.
- Technology An application of scientific knowledge for practical purposes, especially in the industry.
- Terminal A departure and/or arrival building for aircraft, passengers or freight at a station for any transport mode.
- Terminal Pier A raised structure, including bridge and building supports and walkways, typically supported by widely spread piles or pillars.
- Terminal Satellite Section, open space, or building inside an airport terminal or at its periphery, providing access to the planes through gates.
- Terminating Flight A flight, designated by a Flight Designator, ending at the station in question.
- Third Freedom The right for an air carrier to put down, in the territory of another State, passengers, freight and mail taken up in the State in which it is registered
- Through Charge A total charge from point of departure to point of destination. It may be a joint charge or a combination of charges.
- Through Fare A fare applicable for travel between two consecutive fare construction points via an intermediate point(s).

- Ticketed Point Points shown in the ’good for passage’ section of the passenger ticket.
- Ticketed Point Mileage The distance between pairs of points published in the Ticketed Point Mileage Manual, using non-stop sector mileages in accordance with IATA Resolution 011.
- Ticketing Airline An airline whose automated tickets are issued through the computer system of a Servicing Airline by imprinting the ticketing airline’s name and numeric accounting code.
- Ticketing Carrier Selection Rules The rules governing the selection by the Travel Agent of the carrier to be designated as the issuing carrier on a neutral ticket.
- Ticketing Information Exchange Standard The A4A/IATA standard which defines specifications for the computer to computer exchange of airline industry ticketing information.
- Ticketing System The system which imprints on paper or stores electronically (electronic ticket) the automated accountable document, which is represented by a four character code in accordance with Resolution 728, Paragraph 6.
- Ticketing Time Limit A time by which the passenger must secure his ticket for a confirmed reservation as required by the carrier. See IATA Resolution 766 for additional information.
- Ticketing Time Limits The time by which the passenger must secure his ticket for his confirmed reservation as agreed with the airline. The passenger meets this requirement by purchasing a ticket which indicates his reserved space, or by having his previously issued ticket revalidated or reissued to reflect his reserved space.

- TOW Take-off Weight. Actual weight including take-off fuel of an aircraft at take-off. It is calculated by adding zero fuel weight and take-off fuel.
- Traffic Document Ticket, electronic ticket, MCO, EMD or any other accountable passenger traffic document.
- Traffic Load Passengers, baggage, cargo, mail and equipment in compartments not included in dry operating weight of the aircraft.
- Transfer A change from the service of one carrier to another service of the same carrier (online transfer) or to the service of another carrier (interline transfer).

- Transit Flight A flight, designated by a Flight Designator, during an en route landing at the station in question.
- Transit Station A scheduled en route stopping station on a flight.
- Transit Time The time an aircraft remains in transit at the station in question.
- Transitional Automated Ticket The form of automated ticket, normally issued by airline offices, described in IATA Resolution 722. It is a multi-copy carbonized paper ticket.
- Transmission Control Number A unique reference number generated by the system of the airline transmitting the ticket data, and printed on an Automated Ticket.
- Transport The action of transporting something or the state of being transported. A system or means of conveying people or goods from place to place.
- Transport Arrival The action or process of arriving of a transport vehicle in any place or location.
- Transport Departure The action or process of leaving of a transport vehicle from any place or location.
- Transport Event A thing that happens in the area of transport, especially one of importance.

- Travel Product A travel item which may be purchased by a customer.
- Trip The flight(s) that form the total route of a specific origin and destination. A single trip can be served by one or multiple carriers.
- Turnaround The station in an aircraft rotation, where the flight number changes.
