The UK now mandates an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) for travelers from Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. This £10 ETA allows visits up to six months for tourism, business, or short study and is valid for two years. Eligible travelers can apply via the UK ETA app or online, with processing typically within three days.
 
Starting November 27, 2024, travelers from countries like the US, Canada, Australia, Japan, and others can apply for an ETA to travel from January 8, 2025. Additionally, EU and Schengen nationals will be eligible from March 5, 2025, for travel starting April 2, 2025. Please advise clients that an ETA does not guarantee entry, as UK Border Force officers will still conduct checks upon arrival.
