New route to Los Cabos, Mexico
Starting December 4, Copa Airlines will launch a new route to Los Cabos, Mexico. Flights will operate three times per week—on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays—departing from Tocumen International Airport. Los Cabos is an ideal destination for travelers seeking beaches, sports, nightlife, and outdoor adventures.
Resuming flights to Salvador, Brazil
On January 7, Copa Airlines will resume operations to Salvador, Brazil. This route will offer four weekly frequencies—on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays—reconnecting passengers with one of Brazil’s most iconic coastal cities.
Resuming flights to Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic
From January 15, Copa Airlines will resume operations to Santiago de los Caballeros in the Dominican Republic. Flights will operate on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, offering convenient access to the country’s second-largest city.
With these additions, Copa Airlines' network will expand to 91 destinations across 32 countries, reaffirming its commitment to connecting the Americas efficiently and reliably.
Updated Carry-on Baggage Policy: What You Need to Know
Copa Airlines has updated its carry-on baggage policy to improve the travel experience, streamline boarding, and enhance safety procedures.
Passengers may bring:
One personal item (must fit under the seat in front)
One carry-on bag (maximum weight: 10 kg)
Additionally, the following items are allowed:
A coat or jacket
Food for consumption during the flight
Airport purchases (duty-free items)
Mobility aids (walker, cane, crutches, orthopedic devices)
Essential medical equipment (wheelchair, batteries, portable respirators)—some items may be checked at the gate if necessary
For infants:
An infant seat (if a seat is purchased)
A foldable stroller (maximum length: 110 cm)
A diaper bag (must fit under the seat)
Children aged 2 and older may bring a stroller as a substitute for their carry-on allowance.
