Update:
- Due to the high demand for baggage during the peak season, restrictions will be implemented in two phases:
- Phase 1: From December 1, 2025, to January 12, 2026.
- Routes with restrictions lifted:
- Washington (IAD) → and Lima (LIM)
- Routes with baggage restrictions:
- Guatemala (GUA), San Salvador (SAL) and Comayagua (XPL) → Washington (IAD)
- Washington (IAD) → San Salvador (SAL)
- Nueva York (JFK) → Guayaquil (GYE) and Manta (MEC)
- San Salvador (SAL) → Los Angeles (LAX)
- Miami (MIA) → Manta (MEC)
- Note: All routes included in Phase 1 will remain in effect during Phase 2 as well.
- Phase 2: From December 8, 2025, to January 12, 2026
- Additional routes with restrictions:
- Nueva York (JFK) and Washington (IAD) → Comayagua (XPL)
- San Pedro Sula (SAP) → Washington (IAD)
- Baltimore (BWI) → San Salvador (SAL) and Guayaquil (GYE)
- Raleigh-Durham (RDU) → Guayaquil (GYE)
- Additional routes with restrictions:
- Cuba baggage restrictions remain permanent and apply to both Phase 1 and Phase 2.
These baggage restrictions apply only to flights to Cuba. Flights departing from or originating in Cuba are not subject to these restrictions.
